Internship 'Real Estate' at AEGON Asset management (The Hague)

 AEGON Asset Management currently has an internship available in the Multi Asset Group.

AEAM - General

AEGON Asset Management (AEAM) manages the capital of private customers, pension funds and several other AEGON-divisions. This capital, exceeds EUR 55 bn in the Netherlands and EUR 300 bn worldwide), it is invested in fixed income, equities, direct and indirect real estate, deposits, commodities and alternative investments, AEGON Asset management is located in The Hague. Multi Asset Group - General

Within Asset Management the Multi Asset Group is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic, macro-economic and thematic vision of the investment policy. Besides that, the team is responsible for implementing asset allocation decisions via the Global Tactial Asset Allocation-fund (GTAAI.

 Profile of internship

At present we are looking for an intern who, within the framework of hislher thesis. wants to conduct research in the field of real estate. We have developed a real estate model in past years. This model needs to be expanded to include emerging markets. To reach this goal the intern will have to find data and study relationships between economic data and real estate markets. Furthermore. the existing model will be opened up and the new markets will have to be included in the model.

An internship at Multi Asset Group offers you the opportunity of acquiring knowledge on several aspects of the investment practice. You will cooperate with the team members: macroeconomists, quantitative analysts and strategists. The theoretical framework of the research is important, but the eventual aim is practical application. The research connects (financial) econometrics with macro economy.

Profile of the candidate

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel

• Skills in Visual Basic (programming) is recommended

• Affinity with macroeconomic developments;

• Interest in financial markets;

• Affinity with quantitative research;

• Analytically strong;

• Communicatively skilful and strong conviction strength;

• Team player.
